Introducing Evento 2.0
Events are how you find your people. Bitcoin is how you pay them.
Today we're launching Evento 2.0, the most complete version of the platform yet. A full self-custodial Bitcoin wallet, peer-to-peer zapping, powerful host tools, robust social profiles, and a completely new look.
Here's everything that's new.
The Evento Bitcoin Wallet
Evento now has a built-in Bitcoin wallet. And it's unlike anything you'll find in another events app.
It's fully self-custodial: you hold your own keys. Built on Breez and Spark, you can send and receive Bitcoin over Lightning or on-chain, spend via Bitrefill, and access trusted on and off-ramps to buy and sell. Your Lightning Address, or payment identifier, is automatically your username@evento.cash.
Breez also just shipped contacts support, and Evento has it. Save the people you transact with most for quick access right from your wallet!
Every payment is peer-to-peer. We never take a cut.

Zap Anyone on Evento
You can now zap any user or host directly from their profile or event page. Choose a preset amount or enter a custom one.
As a host, you can zap your entire guest list at once. Imagine walking into an event and the host sends everyone a little Bitcoin just for showing up. That's the kind of thing Evento makes possible now.
If someone you zap doesn't have an Evento wallet yet, they'll get an email letting them know someone is trying to send them money. That's Bitcoin onboarding that actually works.
Your Events Hub
The Hub is your home on Evento. Everything in one place: your upcoming events, events from people you follow, invites waiting on you, and co-host requests.
It also includes For You, our hand-curated feed of events worth knowing about. This isn't an algorithm. It's events we genuinely believe in. If you want your event featured, send a DM to @bhd on Evento.
Everything a Host Needs
Hosting an event is more than just creating a page. Evento gives you the tools to control who comes, communicate with your guests, and manage everything from one place.
🔒 Password protection: Keep your event private and share access only with the people you want there
📋 Custom registration forms: Ask applicants anything - text fields, multiple choice, whatever you need to vet your guests
✅ Approval flow: Manually review every RSVP and accept or reject applicants one by one
💌 Personalized approval messages: Write a custom rich-text message that goes out when someone gets approved
🚫 Guest removal: Remove anyone from your guest list at any time
📅 Sub-events: Build a full schedule nested under one parent event - perfect for conferences, hackathons, and multi-day programs
📣 Email blast: Write, send, and track email campaigns to your entire guest list without leaving the platform
👥 Co-host management: Invite collaborators, assign co-host access, and remove them when needed
📥 CSV import: Bulk add guests from a spreadsheet instead of inviting one by one
💬 Direct messages: Reach any guest directly from the platform
Profiles Built for Community
Your Evento profile is more than a username. Add a bio, showcase your interests, answer prompts so people can get to know you, follow others, and display your Lightning Address - so anyone can zap you directly from your profile.
